PROMOTING COMPUTER SCIENCE...

I started We Can to help promote the learning experiences that I develop for kids and adults to engage with computer science. For example, I have published 6 books (with another on the way) for kids to learn how to code in different platforms. I have launched three online professional development courses in collaboration with UCSD to train educators in computer science. I have also consulted with companies such as Microsoft to promote creative learning resources for products such as Minecraft. Visit We Can to find out more at thewecan.zone!

Making github for kids...

One of the most used developer tools is git, and one of the best ways to use git is with GitHub. GitHub allows software individuals and teams to store their code, have version control, and collaborate without manually merging simple pieces of code.

My life's passion is to help young children create and learn how to code. I believe that if children can effectively use professional tools, they will be more successful. So in 2016 I joined GitHub as an independent contractor for exactly that purpose: Help kids learn how to build, share, and collaborate on cross-platform, multiple language projects with their peers.
